Uploading a Data based Application to Oracle PaaS

Deploying a custom data driven ADF application

1. In Earlier post I have mentioned the ways to deploy a ADF application to PaaS

2. Create a new Cloud Database connection to  the database, then view the 'Database Cart' (View->Database->Database Cart).

3. From the local database connection open the connection and open the tables, select the table that you want to migrate to cloud. Make sure you check the Data check box to include the data as well for migration.

4. Hit the save button to save the content of the cart (I left it to default to cart.xml in default path)-> Apply

5. Click the Deploy button. (C:\oracle\Oracle1\Middleware\user_projects\deploy.zip). I left it to default.

6. Click the Deploy Cloud Button and select the Cloud Database to deploy to (sftp username is already provided but you need set the password for it in your PaaS Cloud account).

here we can view every database cloud export that we did, upon double clicking the deployment we can view the log file as well.

While I was successfully able to migrate the custom table I created locally and the Application to PaaS, I faced the following error when trying to access the jsf page..

Solution:

The database name in the AppModule should reflect the database name of the trial version.
